Excellence in Communication

Thursday, August 26, 2010 - 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM

About This Session

When exceptional communicators speak, people listen. Their words and phrases are intentional, grammatically accurate, confidence-laden and motivating. Their presentational mannerisms reinforce this verbal foundation.

Enhancing communication skills to that level involves discarding what doesn't work and replacing it with what does. Many times, however, even good communicators are not aware of what isn't working for them.

During this session, you will discover and eliminate words and phrases that sabotage your credibility and neutralize your communication--causing people to only half-listen to what you say or to skim over what you write. You will also discover mannerisms that interfere with and detract from your communicating that message.

You will also, through activities, purposely choose words and phrases that highlight your core message and engage, energize and motivate your listeners/readers.
