Nobody Likes Bad Change

Thursday, May 6, 2010 - 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM

Research has shown 8 out of 10 executives who launch major change initiatives are dissatisfied with the results delivered by their efforts. In larger organizations, “resistance to change” and “lack of implementation know-how” are two of the top obstacles consistently identified as blocking or weakening success. The impact of these problems can be significant. At the least they cause excessive stress at work and, at their worst, cause the loss of jobs or even business failure. The presentation will describe how a positive look at “resistance to change” can make the implementation of change easier, less stressful, and more successful. This session will cover: - the #1 obstacle to implementing change - resistance - the stressful impact resistance has on companies and all of us - where resistance comes from - how to identify the root causes - how to overcome resistance to change, where resistance comes from

What others are saying

“I've used other Lean consulting firms in the past, such as TBM and Simpler, but Craig's firm is by far the best. Others focus on the toolbox and then wonder why there is no sustainable results. Craig focuses on improving the culture and growing lean organically, embedding lean into the very fabric of a corporation. The result - significant and sustainable bottomline improvement.”

--Luke Livingston

“Craig is a practical person who understands the impact and power of influencing people in a positive way. He was quick to share his experiences with my team. I liked his fresh approach to motivating and empowering people to take on change initiatives. His delineation between "good" and "bad" change is also very insightful. Craig is someone to watch as he continues to influence more and more people. I highly recommend doing business with Craig.”

--Robert (Bob) Petruska, Continuous Improvement Manager, The Schwan Food Company
